The band that has been chosen for this show is Skwirl. The most simple reason why is because the last time I checked the poll, Skwirl was in the lead, and showed a continuous increase in votes. I confirmed the show with Larry at the Cruise inn on the phone on my way home from Syracuse today. I know the poll says something different now, but I went with what I knew at the time. I didn't have a lot of access to a computer this weekend.
There will be other shows and other polls.
Everyone should come down to see this show: July 20th at the Cruise inn
Skwirl (Buffalo New Metal) At all costs (Buffalo Heavy Metal) Ten Bodies High (Buffalo Grindcore) Strange (Syracuse Hardcore) Negativ Seaven (Syracuse Hardcore)
Results of the show poll. Who would you like to see play at the localmetal.com show? Short of Breath 67 (7%) Fireborn 4 (0%) Downcast 174 (18%) Skwirl 183 (19%) Herod 3 (0%) One Sick Lie 186 (19%) Endface 2 (0%) Noware 8 (0%) Stemm 127 (13%) Dog Day Sunrise 187 (19%)

If you don't want to play this show, tell me, so I can put someone else on.

i never get any mail. The one i did get I replyed to. Yea, we are playin that show on the 20th. Sorry, my mail does crazy shit sometimes. This is a strong line-up. Everyone hitting other boards to advertise? Everyone make up flyers too. We should all pick different places to hang flyers. Any other ideas on how to make this show a good one?

We gotta have someone put up flyers around the Cruise In. The corner stores, resturants, telephone poles...etc. If I lived anywhere close to there I would. And I dont have a car either. I made Flyers. I am gunna send all around where I live.

how can us syracuse bands promote for the show out there? any ideas are helpful. This is a message to all you sons a bitches; There is a huge online community. If you want to promote for Buffalo, go to wnymusic.com and Buffaloshows. I'm sure there's other boards, but for Buffalo, those are the biggest. Keeping constant activity at localmetal.com is helpful too. This is the start of the online metal community. Go to those boards, sign up for membership. Get on there and talk to people, and everypost you make, say something about localmetal.com and the July 20th show at the Cruise inn. Instant message and email a shit load of people. Do all the advertising you can do online. Who wants to flyer the mall? Skwirl, you're a bunch of kids. You guys would do a good job at the mall. I'm sure you know someone with a car. How do you get to your shows? Who thinks the boys from Skwirl should do the mall? It's a great way to pick up some hoooooorrs. I will most likely do the Cruise inn. Who's coming with me? Strange, get Negative Seaven into this little pow wow. We need all the help we can get.
