Some people say that it doesn't matter what you write down for lyrics. They say that they're just words, and how you sing them is what matters. I quess... You can make jiberoush sound cool. But what about the message you're trying to get across in your music? How does your band deal with lyrics. What's your message?

Man, Lyrics are totally important unless your Chino and the deftones. You've gotta have lyrics that mean something to you and your band or else it can't evolve into anything that is amazing musically. You've gotta feel the mood, feel the words, it does help if they're sang right, but lyrics show the idealogy of the whole band, so don't take good lyrics for granted. Humpy-ds

Well, there's two sides to that coin. I think that the song, as a musical work, can still be a really good song even if the lyrics are all gibberish.. Look at Smells Like Teen Spirit.. The lyrics may mean something but most people can't understand 'em - and the song was a mega hit.
On the other hand, the greats - the really great bands of all time - the message meant something.. The lyrics had meaning. That's something I'd really like to work with our lyricist on for our next round of songs.
