What does everyone think of Straight edge / hardcore kids? Are they all assholes? Why are they so pissed off? I haven't met a nice one yet.  What's the deal? |

I wouldn't call them assholes. They're just tough young kids. I don't think they like things that are popular.
In high school, they're the kids that got beat up by the jocks. Jocks don't like them because they're not football players or whatever. That's the way it was when I was in highschool. Back then they didn't have straight edge. It was the skaters, metal heads and whoever else wasn't "normal". Maybe that's why they're so pissed off. Don't know. I did hear one thing about straight edge: You're not aloud to have sex.
I don't know how true this is, but if that's the case, I'd be an asshole all the time.

i have had a few hardcore kids for friends, they all seem ok to me, but like everywhere else there are assholes everywhere, you can't escape it. but i have friends that are into all sorts of things. and actually , there are quite a few assholes in the metal scene. i'm sure there are plenty of people who think i am an asshole, or that the next guy is an asshole. it is all in how people percieve each other, i just try to be a decent person, and if someone is an asshole to me, i just rely on karma, i'm no tough guy who's gonna crack heads.
