Like I said before. This board has lots of bands talking on it. Practically all of the members are bands. These "check out my band, or rate my band" post would be much more effective if non musicians would reply to them. It's cool that other bands reply to them and give their input, but that's not totally what the band who posted it is looking for. They do want your feedback, and it is much appreciated, but I think they are looking for some action.
A lot of people are starting to visit localmetal.com. When they come to the message board, they should see a post about a band. Looking at the post they should see a shit load of views, and a shit load of replies. So how do I get some action?
How to get some action:
Did you ever hear the saying "You've got to have money to make money"?
Get your fans and friends to respond to your post. If people see that you are in high demand, then they'll want to see what all the excitement is about. It's the same thing with the monthly poll. It sounds stupid, but it's true. People want to be voting for the winning opponent. If you notice, the bands that are losing really bad, they'll just stop fighting. They give up.
[glow=red,2,300]*If you want people to check out your band, get people to respond to your "check out my band" posts.[/glow]
